Definição e uso
O elemento <xsl:decimal-format> define os caracteres e símbolos a serem usados na conversão de números em strings, com a função format-number().
Todos os países não usam os mesmos caracteres para separar a parte decimal da parte inteira e para agrupar dígitos. Com o elemento <xsl:decimal-format> você pode alterar caracteres especiais para outros símbolos.
Este elemento é um elemento de nível superior.
A função format-number() pode se referir ao elemento <xsl:decimal-format> pelo nome.

O exemplo abaixo mostra como formatar para moeda européia (observe que o terceiro argumento em format-number() se refere ao nome do elemento <xsl:decimal-format>:
